Relief package for China

HungerDear Friends and Family,

It is with a heavy heart that I implore you to hear my plea. CHILD, an Iranian American NGO I volunteer for, is working to put together a relief package for China. Thanks to the tireless efforts of Mrs. Sudabeh Shoja, we have an opportunity to seek UPS's assistance in delivering a select list of medical supplies requested by the Chinese Embassy, which you will find at the end of this post. We are currently in the process of working the logistics of this project, and time is of the essence.

Must give up 2 dogs!

We are devistated by the news that we must give up our 2 dogs of 5 years. My son was just diagnosed with severe allergy related asthma due to dog dander. We have painfully made the decision (after trying to make our house as dog free as we can to no avail) to give them up. We have loved them since they were babies and ache horribly to have to lose these wonderful members of our family. I have advertised for them, but I have had no takers. They are the best, most loving dogs anyone could ask for and love to be loved and to play and go for walks/runs. The are brother and sister and are a springer spaniel mix. I have laid awake many nights, crying, as to what other alternative can be done, but the bottom line is I have to choose my son's health. I'd never be able to live with myslef if I learned they had to die or went to an abused home b/c of this decision I am making. We love them so very much and just want what's best for us all. PLEASE tell me you can help us! I used to think badly when I read of people giving up their pets of so many years and now here I am. I am praying you can give us some hope.

In memory of my precious Nounours!
