“O, happy the soul that saw its own faults.” ~ Mevlana Rumi

This portion of the site is designed to assist you in the development of your self-awareness.

Self awareness opens doors to spiritual and personal growth.

Self awareness is the key that unlocks the riches of life. We have all the answers we need to the questions of our lives right inside of us. All we have to do is to learn how to access our own wisdom.

This begins with self awareness. Paying attention to our many senses, thoughts, feelings and intuition. Diving deep into our emotions to tap their sources. Seeing our thinking and how it creates our reality. Discovering our deepest essence.

When Things Fall Apart

I recommend this book called "When Things Fall Apart" by Pema Chodron which I found to be very useful for these times of turbulence and uncertainty in our lives:

Work for free!!!!

Well my sweet friends, let me tell you of my journey to a wondrous, and in my eyes truly beautiful, place. A place where people work for free. That's right. They call ahead of time, and schedule work for themselves. They don't get paid for it, there is no recognition, and some times it can be a dangerous, thankless, dirty job, but they do it, each for his or her own reason, but they do it.

Vipassana Meditation

Vipassana, which means to see things as they really are, is one of India's most ancient techniques of meditation. It was taught in India more than 2500 years ago as a universal remedy for universal ills, i.e., an Art of Living. For those who are not familiar with Vipassana Meditation, an Introduction to Vipassana by Mr. Goenka and Questions & Answers about Vipassana are available.

Slow dance

"Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

You better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask How are you?
Do you hear the reply?

When the day is done!
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?

You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Ever told your child,
We'll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?

Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call and say,"Hi"

You'd better slow down.

It's your life...
